Lívia Nunes: tailoring in Ralph Lauren’s front row

A white shirt, dark trousers and braces gave one September 2025 look its structure.

Tailoring can be read through a small number of decisions. At Ralph Lauren’s September 2025 New York show, Lívia Nunes wore a white shirt with high-waisted black trousers and braces, bringing a masculine wardrobe reference into a spare composition.

The open neckline changed the shirt’s formality. Pointed black pumps extended the line of the trousers, while the braces introduced a graphic detail across the light surface above.

Patrick Ta’s beauty treatment kept the focus on the clothes rather than adding another elaborate statement. Nunes joined a front row that included Oprah Winfrey, Laura Dern and Naomi Watts.

The look worked through contrast rather than accumulation. Its strongest detail was the relationship between recognisable pieces: an ordinary shirt and a formal trouser made distinct by proportion and the way they were worn together.
