Blue Label, at an Indian table

An October 2026 blend connects Scotch whisky with a vocabulary of spice.

Cardamom, clove and cinnamon give Johnnie Walker’s Blue Label Indian Festive Blend a particular point of departure. Announced in October 2026, the edition approached an Indian festive table through the structure of a Scotch blend rather than through a decorative theme alone.

Master blender Emma Walker described Indian cooking’s balance of marked spices as an inspiration. Port Dundas, Clynelish, Blair Athol and Talisker supplied different elements, from sweetness and tropical character to warm spice and a maritime smoky register.

The bottle also continued the label’s collaboration with Indian designer Rahul Mishra. Packaging and liquid therefore addressed the same cultural occasion through different materials.

The interesting distinction is between borrowing an image and developing a response. Here, the proposed response takes the form of proportion: several distillery voices arranged around a specific idea of a table.
