A ski destination can offer a route through art as well as snow. WAYFARER’s December 2023 Aspen Snowmass preview connected its four-mountain season with museum architecture, restaurant tables and images carried on lift tickets.

The account described the 2023–24 winter programme and referred to the Hero’s lift expansion at Aspen.

Shigeru Ban’s Aspen Art Museum supplied one architectural stop in the itinerary. Claudia Comte’s work on lift tickets, through Art in Unexpected Places, gave art another location within the practical objects used during a ski day.

Dining references included Bosq and the Alpin Room in Snowmass, with chef Emily Oyer named in the latter’s account. The report also noted Brazilian snowboarder Isabel Clark’s presence in the ski-school context, adding a Brazilian connection to the international winter setting.
