The 2024 announcement treated a sound system as an object within the room’s visual arrangement.

A speaker does not have to announce itself through a conventional equipment box. Samsung’s Music Frame, introduced in WAYFARER’s January 2024 archive, approached the object through the visual language of a framed picture.
The account connected the idea with Samsung’s wider Frame design direction. A square outline and front panel placed the speaker within the arrangement of a room, giving the wall a role usually occupied by a shelf or media cabinet.
Hidden audio components were part of the announcement, but the editorial interest here is the exterior. The object asks a different interior-design question: how can a device remain present in daily use without becoming the strongest visual signal in its surroundings?
The report also referred to the earlier IKEA and Sonos picture-frame speaker, situating the proposal within a broader interest in audio objects that resemble furnishings or decoration. That comparison concerns the design approach, not an independent performance ranking.
