RIMOWA: Umber and Ultramarine as a colour argument
The October 2026 collection uses a warm brown and an intense blue across luggage, leather bags and travel accessories.
Reportage / New York
Patricia Bonaldi's New York presentation set hand embroidery against laser-cut detail, velvet and a restrained palette.

PatBO’s Femme Frames collection found its tension in the making of the clothes. Hand embroidery appeared beside laser-cut detail; traditional work met a more contemporary treatment of the surface.
Presented during New York Fashion Week for autumn/winter 2024, the collection was documented by WAYFARER in February of that year. Patricia Bonaldi’s direction joined embroidered velvet, crepe, lace, tulle and metallic crochet without relying on a uniformly ornate palette.
Black and off-white established the main colour field, with emerald green providing an accent. Crystal work and detailed embroidery gained definition against those relatively restrained grounds.
The archive described oversized quilted jackets in jersey as another element of the collection, extending ideas associated with beachwear towards a different silhouette and season.
A collaboration with Schutz supplied the footwear. Reflective sculptural heels and fine-strapped sandals translated the collection’s interest in construction into a smaller object, keeping the emphasis on how a familiar form might be altered.
The show took place at New York’s Surrogate’s Court building and opened with a performance by the Joffrey Ballet, according to the original account. The setting and movement gave the clothes a context beyond the static image.
This is a record of the 2024 collection, not a current shopping guide. Its useful subject is Bonaldi’s exchange between manual and technical processes. Neither needed to cancel the other for the clothes to have a coherent identity.
