The house’s atelier vocabulary remained visible in shortened suits, embroidered surfaces and a Grand Palais setting.

A house code is most useful when it can be adjusted rather than merely repeated. Chanel’s Spring 2025 couture presentation kept tweed and the suit in view while changing their proportions and surfaces.
The January 2025 account in WAYFARER Brazil described the Grand Palais setting designed by Willo Perron. Curving structures gave the runway an architectural frame, making the familiar double-C identity part of the space rather than only a mark on the clothes.
Short suits moved through white, cream and pastel tones. Crystal buttons and narrow black velvet belts supplied detail without changing the central silhouette. Elsewhere, embroidered lace imitated the appearance of tweed, shifting a recognised textile language into another technique. Layered chiffon offered a different kind of movement.
These were atelier decisions made during the house’s period of creative transition, not designs attributed here to an incoming director. The original article’s future appointments and presentation schedule remain in their historical context. Its more durable subject is how a collection can maintain continuity without leaving every element untouched. Tweed served as a reference point, not a limit. The suit stayed recognisable because enough could change around it.
