A drinks presentation takes part of its meaning from the setting around the glass. Veuve Clicquot’s Sun Club in Rio, described in WAYFARER’s February 2025 archive, made a pool bar central to its summer proposition.

The event took place at Copacabana Palace on 14 February. The source followed the presentation of Rich and Rich Rosé cuvées positioned for serving over ice, within a room and poolside environment organised around the house’s yellow colour.

References to Saint-Tropez, Capri and Ibiza supplied the article’s wider frame. Rio was not treated as an isolated launch location, but as another setting within a series of summer-associated gatherings.

The archive gallery recorded guests from fashion and entertainment alongside hotel and brand presences. Those images formed part of an event report, rather than evidence of a public venue permanently operating under the same programme.

This adaptation does not verify tasting notes, current availability or upcoming Sun Club dates, and makes no recommendation about alcohol consumption. Its design subject is the relationship between a product and the context chosen to introduce it. Colour, water and the hotel’s existing identity gave a familiar house another way to appear in the city.
