The 2025 collaboration brought the trainer’s layered construction into contact with denim’s familiar surfaces.
FROM THE WAYFARER BRAZIL ARCHIVE / English adaptation. Date shown is the original publication date.

A collaboration works when the materials do more than carry two logos. Levi’s and Nike’s 2025 Air Max 95 project used denim to reconsider a trainer already defined by layers.
WAYFARER Brazil’s June account described three versions: White/Ecru, Black and Denim. Light neutral fabric, monochrome black and medium-wash indigo gave the same silhouette distinct relationships with a material usually associated with trousers and jackets. The texture was central to the proposition.
Smaller details carried the partnership. A Levi’s Red Tab appeared below the Swoosh on the right shoe, while the packaging reinterpreted Nike’s box through the red associated with Levi’s. The collaboration extended into a trucker jacket and baggy trousers in selvedge denim, with off-white stitching and jointly signed leather labels.
The clothes were designed in relation to the shoes, including the way the trouser hem could sit over the upper. That is more interesting than treating apparel as a decorative supplement to a footwear launch. The original article described the project in the Air Max 95’s thirtieth-anniversary year and discussed a planned Brazilian arrival; present stock and prices are not asserted here. The collection’s lasting design question is tactile: what happens when a familiar sporting form is rebuilt in the material of everyday dress?
