Mercedes-Benz: between the Paris shows

The January archive placed transport inside the working rhythm of fashion week, rather than outside its cultural frame.

Fashion week also happens between the shows. Journeys across a city connect designers, guests and industry teams to a timetable that rarely fits into a single building.

WAYFARER’s January 2026 archive recorded Mercedes-Benz becoming an official mobility partner of Paris Fashion Week. The account placed the debut during the men’s autumn/winter 2026–2027 presentations and Haute Couture Week, with a dedicated fleet intended to support travel across the year’s calendar.

The practical role was clear: moving people between shows, presentations and other appointments. Within that framework, the vehicle became a transitional room, neither the street nor the destination. The archive read this as a continuation of the marque’s longer dialogue with fashion, art and photography.

That connection is most useful when considered through working conditions rather than prestige. A cultural event depends on an infrastructure that allows its participants to move, arrive and begin again. Clothing supplies the public image; transport helps organise the hours around it.

The original announcement did not make every journey part of a performance. It simply brought mobility into the event’s official vocabulary. This archival account preserves that stated role without confirming current fleet arrangements or access. The space between appointments was part of the story.
