A butterfly composition supplied a visual language for the champagne house’s 2026 collaboration.

A label can become a small field for an artist’s existing visual language. Dom Pérignon’s collaboration with Damien Hirst drew on Kaleidoscope, bringing concentric arrangements and butterfly references into the shape of the bottle’s familiar shield.

WAYFARER Brazil’s October 2026 account described two expressions: a blue treatment associated with Vintage 2018 and a pink treatment for Rosé Vintage 2010. Colour differentiated the editions while symmetry supplied their shared structure. The collaboration’s visual premise was more specific than simply placing a signature on packaging.

Hirst’s use of butterfly forms carries an established relationship with pattern and the tension between individual elements and a larger image. Transposed to a label, that language has to work at a different scale. A bottle is handled and turned; its composition enters an ordinary sequence of gestures rather than remaining fixed on a gallery wall.

No tasting judgement or new interview is claimed in this adaptation. Nor does the collaboration establish a financial value for the object. Its interest is visual: a recognisable house emblem becomes the boundary for another artist’s system. The outline remains familiar, while the arrangement inside it changes how the surface is read.
