Rome was more than a backdrop for Dolce & Gabbana’s July 2025 Alta Moda programme. The city supplied the opening street, the architectural settings and a theatrical register for the presentation of the house’s work.

WAYFARER’s account placed the first evening on Via Vittorio Veneto. A performance by Cher accompanied an opening conceived through light and scenography, bringing cinema and fashion into the same public vocabulary.

The programme included Alta Gioielleria, Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria in different historic locations. Private dinners and atelier visits extended the presentations beyond a single runway, keeping the making of the collections within the wider occasion.

The Brazilian presence included Silvia Braz, Rodrigo Beze, Marcelo Antunes and Ana Eliza Setúbal. Their appearance in the archive connects the Italian house’s international gathering with the Brazilian creative and social circles following its work.

The source emphasised embroidered details and invitations fashioned from gilded paper. Those material choices are more informative than a general claim of grandeur: the presentation began before the clothes reached the runway. This adaptation records the 2025 event without claiming attendance or providing a current programme. Its subject is the relationship between a fashion house’s craft and the city chosen to frame it.
