A fashion show begins before its first garment can be examined. Dsquared2’s spring/summer 2025 presentation used Milan’s Teatro Lírico Giorgio Gaber to establish a theatrical frame for the collection.

WAYFARER Brazil’s June 2024 account described an opening with dancers and illuminated, cage-like lifts. The setting introduced performance as part of the runway’s language. It gave the clothing a sequence to enter rather than a neutral background against which to pass.

Within the collection, cargo trousers and sporting references met cowboy elements. Translucent fabrics and exposed skin altered the weight of those associations. A functional pocket or a robust outline could appear beside a material that made the body more visible.

This is an adaptation of the original show coverage, not a new attendance report. It also avoids treating the audience’s enthusiasm as evidence of a collection’s long-term importance. The more useful reading stays with the relation between stage and garment. The theatre made an entrance conspicuous; the clothes then had to sustain attention through their own proportions, textures and contrasts. Presentation established the first impression, but construction supplied the next.
