A fundraising dinner can bring the geography of a social project into a different city. Gerando Falcões’ October 2023 Miami announcement connected an international gathering with its work in Brazilian communities through Favela 3D.
WAYFARER’s source named founder and chief executive Edu Lyra as the organiser. The preview described an expected audience of at least two hundred people and a recurring Miami event used to introduce the organisation’s work to partners.
Favela 3D was presented through the terms dignity, development and digitalisation. The report referred to Favela dos Sonhos and other communities within the programme’s account, connecting the dinner’s purpose with places beyond the room in which it would take place.
Leonardo Framil of Accenture was announced as the evening’s honouree, with his team’s involvement in developing a model for expanding social projects noted in the article.
