Starlane: when the dining room changes tempo

Pizza, cocktails and vinyl programming shared a Pinheiros address with more than one rhythm.

A dining room does not have to maintain the same tempo every night. Starlane’s São Paulo proposal, described in WAYFARER Brazil’s March 2026 account, moved between a meal-led evening and a more explicitly musical gathering.

The Pinheiros address connected with a project that began in London’s Canning Town. In São Paulo, Lisa Von Uhlendorff’s music curation brought R&B, soul, funk and electronic selections into the same setting. Vinyl programming was part of the room’s identity rather than an incidental soundtrack.

The food supplied another organising element. Long-fermented pizza dough supported familiar combinations alongside a preparation with salami, gorgonzola, red onion and honey. A burger wrapped in pizza dough crossed formats more directly. Cocktails developed by Gunter Sarfert completed the original account’s portrait of the evening.

Menus and programming belong to that source context; no current availability or new visit is claimed here. The more lasting question is how a venue moves between uses without losing coherence. Tables, music and food can compete for attention. They can also mark different stages of the same night, allowing the room to change while remaining recognisably itself.
