A wine tasting gains another narrative when the person presenting the bottle has worked in a different public field. Wine O’Clock’s December 2023 São Paulo announcement introduced Hernanes through his connection with a vineyard in Piedmont.
WAYFARER’s source identified Alex Reiller as the organiser of the third edition at HighEnd Jazz Clube. The format brought together invited guests, wine, food and music within a gathering announced for seventy people.
Hernanes, widely known from his football career as Profeta, was described as owning a winery in Montaldo Scarampi. Ca’ Del Profeta, a red Barbera, was the wine he was scheduled to introduce during the evening.
The article situated that appearance within Reiller’s recurring invitation of people associated with European vineyards, including professionals whose earlier careers lay in sport or business. The personal route towards wine was therefore part of the tasting’s proposed conversation.
