Renata Araújo and Thiago Mourão’s party concept mixed Brazilian references with pop and dance music.

A dance floor need not organise its audience by a single genre or decade. You Must Dance, introduced by Renata Araújo and Thiago Mourão, proposed an evening in which older references and current tracks could share the same room.
WAYFARER’s June 2024 account connected Araújo’s work as a journalist and creator of You Must Go with Mourão’s experience as a producer and DJ. Their collaboration supplied the party with both a social and musical starting point.
The report described an April debut and a further gathering planned at Vista Bar, on the Maguje rooftop within Rio’s Jockey Club setting. The new programme belonged to that 2024 sequence, not a standing event schedule.
Daft Punk, Clara Nunes, Bruno Mars, BaianaSystem, Madonna and Jackson do Pandeiro were among the references used to explain the repertoire. DJ Dudam’s participation added a connection with Rio’s earlier AfroRio nightlife history.
