A furniture showroom has to give objects a setting before it can give them a new audience. Breton’s March 2024 Dubai announcement approached its first flagship outside Brazil through that relationship between collection and interior.
WAYFARER’s report placed the store on Al Wasl Road and described approximately 1,300 square metres of space. The scale allowed the announcement to present a wider selection of furniture rather than a single object standing for the brand.
Brazilian architect Fernanda Marques was named as the collaborator responsible for the setting. Her involvement gave the project a design connection with Brazil beyond the country in which the furniture company originated.
The report framed Dubai as the starting point of an international expansion.
