Breguet Expérimentale 1: precision as a design argument
A magnetic escapement and a 10 Hz tourbillon bring the manufacture’s research into the visible architecture of a watch.

Vincent Darré's Rue de la Paix boutique used Mediterranean references and elaborate embroidery to reconsider a familiar summer garment.

Beachwear is usually asked to look effortless. Vilebrequin’s Rue de la Paix boutique took the opposite route, making the work behind a pair of swimming shorts part of what visitors came to see.
WAYFARER’s April 2024 account described a Paris store designed by Vincent Darré. Hand-painted Mediterranean details and specially made furniture brought Saint-Tropez references into an interior closer to an atelier than a conventional display of seasonal products.
The account highlighted shorts embroidered with starfish in gold thread, alongside a dragon design made with Swiss embroidery specialist Forster Rohner. Such pieces moved the garment from a repeatable print towards a surface shaped by labour and technique.
The boutique also presented personalised treatments involving sequins, precious materials and embroidery. A fully sequinned pair with gold and silver finishing appeared in the report as an especially elaborate example.
These were offerings described in 2024, not a claim about current commissions or retail availability. Their interest is in the tension between the garment’s setting and its construction. A piece made for the beach became a vehicle for methods more readily associated with formal dress.
Darré’s interior supplied the link between the two. The Mediterranean remained visible, but the room invited a closer look at the textile. Familiar summer clothes could be read as crafted objects without losing the place from which they began.
