The 2026 collaboration joined two wardrobes already familiar with the movement from function to streetwear.

Denim and the sweatshirt arrived in everyday wardrobes through different forms of work. One belonged to labour, the other to training. John John and Champion’s collaboration made their later convergence the basis of a collection.

WAYFARER’s September 2026 account described pale denim jackets, overshirts and relaxed trousers beside off-white sweatshirts and branded tops. The range moved between the Brazilian label’s denim vocabulary and Champion’s sporting archive, without needing to invent a third category for every piece.

A red jacket and matching trousers supplied a more emphatic statement. A blue jacket offered another register, while a silver bag introduced a reflective accent. Those distinctions gave the collection more structure than a repeated pair of logos could provide on its own.

Historical prices and size ranges are not repeated as current purchasing information. The useful reading lies in how the pieces sit beside one another. A collaboration can spend its energy explaining why two brands belong together. Here, the clothes themselves had a simpler argument: the proportions, fabrics and ways of wearing them already shared territory. Denim and sportswear met at the point where their original functions had become a common street wardrobe.
