We welcome story ideas, portraits and photography from people who know a place, a craft or a person well. A good pitch is specific, short and tied to a reason to publish now.

What we are looking for

• Portraits. People doing interesting work in art, design, food, hospitality, fashion and travel, in Brazil or anywhere our readers may want to go.
• Places. A restaurant, studio, hotel, neighbourhood or route you know deeply and can describe with precision.
• Objects and ideas. A material, a maker, a technique or an exhibition that deserves attention.
• Photography. Image essays and portraits with clear rights and credits.

What to send

1. A working title and two or three sentences on the story.
2. Why it matters now: a date, an opening, a season, a launch.
3. Who you are, with two links to previous work.
4. Images available, with credits and usage rights.

Write to hello@wayfareredition.com with “Story idea” in the subject line. Please do not send finished pieces on spec.

What to expect

We read every pitch. If we are interested, we will reply with questions and a proposed shape. Because we receive many messages, we cannot always answer those that do not fit. Accepted contributors are credited by name; terms are agreed in writing before work begins.
