A house’s history can enter a collection through a graphic gesture. Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior autumn-winter 2024 presentation brought Miss Dior into view as text on garments and accessories, connecting an earlier ready-to-wear chapter with a contemporary runway.
WAYFARER’s February account described trench coats, tailoring and short silhouettes beside that repeated sign. Khaki, checks and transparent elements gave the collection several registers without requiring the historical reference to appear in only one form.
Shakuntala Kulkarni’s sculptural installation supplied another point of entry. Her wearable, cage-like constructions introduced questions about the body and the structures placed around it. The setting gave protection and constraint a physical presence beside the clothing.
