Vilebrequin: Saint-Tropez in the Summer 25 wardrobe

Seventies references moved between beachwear and the clothes worn after the beach.

A summer wardrobe is also a record of what happens after the beach. Vilebrequin’s Summer 25 collection, covered in April 2025, looked to the parties and seaside life associated with Saint-Tropez in the 1970s.

The reference gave the collection a particular rhythm. Light dresses, softly cut shorts and other post-beach pieces extended the idea beyond swimming. For men, jacquard and prints introduced variations on the brand’s familiar swimwear, while pure linen shorts offered another material register.

WAYFARER’s original account described the use of recycled, organic and natural fabrics. These are material claims from the presentation, not an independent assessment of the collection’s total environmental impact. Keeping that distinction allows the clothing to be considered without turning an ingredient list into a broad sustainability verdict.

The Brazilian launch addresses also belong to the 2025 account rather than to a checked shopping guide. What makes the collection worth revisiting is the way a place supplies more than an image. Saint-Tropez appears through a sequence of occasions, from daytime dressing to the hours after it. The clothes do not need to recreate the seventies literally. They use its social memory to give a summer wardrobe somewhere to begin.
