Hotel bars: four rooms that give an evening a subject

Franco and Lorenzo Ravioli’s 2023 summer account connected individual pizzettas with an open view of the kitchen.

An oven can organise the room as well as the menu. Foglia Forneria Artigianale’s archive portrait placed a chef’s counter around that centre, making preparation part of the restaurant’s spatial identity.
WAYFARER’s December 2023 account described Franco and Lorenzo Ravioli’s summer proposal in Vila Nova Conceição. Individual pizzettas, with thin dough and aerated edges, appeared beside salads. The smaller format altered how pizza could enter a lunch without needing to stand for the whole meal.
Caprese and Genova versions supplied two examples from the original menu. Pasta, rice and grilled dishes extended the range. The setting also offered several ways to sit: a terrace, a main room and a mezzanine, with glass, timber, corten steel and stone in the material palette.
This is not a new tasting or a checked account of what is served today. The lasting point lies in how food and space share a structure. A counter makes the oven visible; a small pizza makes its result approachable at another scale. The restaurant’s name suggests a leaf, but its clearest organising object in the archive portrait was the one that supplied heat.
