Blondish in Brazil: Energy, Intention and the Art of Transforming the Dance Floor

A DJ who calls music a mission, on energy, intention and the Brazilian crowd.

DJ and producer Blondish
Interview by Melissa Schon

With an approach that goes beyond traditional electronic music, Blondish has established herself as one of the most singular figures on the global scene. DJ, producer and creator of sonic experiences that flirt with the spiritual, the artist has built a path based on intention, energy and human connection. Her sets move between house, melodic techno and organic influences, but refuse any fixed label. For her, music is a mission.

A constant presence at international festivals and iconic clubs, Blondish has turned the booth into a space for energetic exchange. Each performance is conceived as a moment of collective expansion. In Brazil, where she keeps a special relationship with the audience, her visit between December 2025 and January 2026 strengthened that bond. The artist played in São Paulo and went on into the Brazilian summer with dates in Trancoso and Bahia, including performances that ran through the night and into sunrise. Before taking the stage in São Paulo, she spoke to WAYFARER about purpose, creative process and the strength of the Brazilian crowd.

DJ and producer Blondish

WAYFARER: Your sets are often described as an experience, not just a performance. When you step into the booth, what feeling do you want to create on the floor?

Blondish: I want to remind people that there is more to life than what we were told exists. The intention of my music is to unlock the best version of each person’s life and plant seeds. I hope people take that energy out of the club and use it for something positive. I have the privilege of travelling the world playing and making a living from it, building a family, but I also want to give back. Planting seeds so that each person creates their own magic.

WAYFARER: You talk a lot about energy. How would you define the Blondish sound today in three words?

Blondish: Energy, energy, energy. That’s it. I don’t want to be stuck in a genre. I’m not just a DJ; I have a mission with music. It has to be about energy, not labels. I can play techno or go in any direction. Some people get it, others don’t, but everyone feels it.

I’m not just a DJ; I have a mission with music.

Blondish

WAYFARER: Have you ever had to give something up creatively to reach this stage of your career?

Blondish: I didn’t have to leave anything behind, but I acquired many tools along the way. Everything is energy. Relationships are energy, words are energy, decisions are energy. I began paying attention to that. I even stopped using certain negative words. I deeply believe that intention plus attention generates manifestation. I created my own mantras and ways of thinking that help me bring more magic into the world.

WAYFARER: When you’re producing, what usually comes first: groove, vocal or concept?

Blondish: It always changes. It depends on the moment. Just yesterday I was in the studio and there were musicians and singers there. An idea came up with guitar and vocals inspired by Brazilian rhythms. It can start with something you hear on the street, a melody, a voice. If I’m alone, I usually start with the groove. With other people, it’s the energy of the encounter that defines it.

WAYFARER: What inspires you most today: cities, cultures or specific moments?

Blondish: The present moment, always. It can be a conversation, a sound, something happening right now. Of course travelling and getting to know cultures inspires a lot, but true inspiration is in what’s happening here and now.

WAYFARER: You were in Brazil between December 2025 and January 2026. How were those performances and the reunion with the Brazilian audience?

Blondish: It was incredible. I played in São Paulo and then came back to Brazil for summer dates, including Trancoso and parties in Bahia. The audience here is very intense and true. The energy comes from the heart. It’s very pure. Every time I come back, I feel the connection grow stronger. Brazil gives me a reason to make more music.

WAYFARER: Is there something the Brazilian crowd has that is unique on the dance floor?

Blondish: You feel it comes from the heart. It’s real. People are very present and authentic. There is a purity in the way they connect with the music, and it’s very special for whoever is playing.

WAYFARER: To close: what feeling do you want people to take away after one of your shows?

Blondish: That nothing is impossible. And that we are all on the same vibration, creating something together.

She arrived in São Paulo talking about seeds, and left a summer of sunrises in Trancoso and Bahia proving the point: for Blondish, the dance floor is where people remember that nothing is impossible.
