A lip outline can organise a face without becoming its main subject. That was the editorial thread in WAYFARER’s July 2026 account of LV Crayon and Pat McGrath’s approach at Louis Vuitton Beauty.

The source described a pencil shaped around the house’s monogram flower and presented in ten shades. It connected the tool with LV Rouge lipstick and LV Baume, reading the collection as a set of related choices rather than a single prescribed look.

Warm beige, brown, pink, red and deeper tones gave the palette different registers. The article’s emphasis was on definition that could remain subordinate to the face, consistent with McGrath’s work across runway settings.

A softly blended outline, described in the archive as Blur Illusion, supplied one example. A combination of nude or brown tones with pink gloss supplied another, referring back to the makeup vocabulary of the 1990s. These are historical descriptions of the launch, not personalised application advice.

The original copy also included formulation and performance claims. This adaptation does not independently verify those claims or make a health recommendation. Its subject is the design of a small tool: a recognisable house symbol carrying a range of possible expressions rather than one fixed finish.
