A city can influence a collection through something more specific than atmosphere. In WAYFARER Brazil’s August 2026 account of Sessùn, Marseille entered the clothes through colour, textured materials and an interest in local making. Founder and creative director Emma François supplied the perspective recorded in the source.

Ochres, weathered whites, sea blues and olive greens formed the palette she associated with the Mediterranean setting. The city appeared not as a uniform postcard, but as a place of overlapping histories and ways of living. Its relationship with the sea affected daily routines as well as visual references.

The archive’s itinerary moved through the centre and districts including Endoume and Les Catalans. Maison Empereur represented a connection with objects and craft, while antique dealers on rue Edmond Rostand supplied another way of reading material history. Older shops and newer restaurants occupied the same urban account.

Cultural buildings broadened the view. MuCEM and the Vieille Charité placed architecture and museum-going beside the everyday businesses that gave the neighbourhoods their texture. At Les Goudes, boats, rocks and the water brought the city back to its coastal edge.

The article related this geography to Sessùn’s autumn-winter 2026 collection. The strongest connection was not a literal print of a landmark; it was a vocabulary of surfaces, colours and looser forms. This adaptation paraphrases the source’s recorded perspective rather than presenting a new interview, and leaves venue recommendations in their original context.
