Alessandro Michele's Autumn Winter 2026–27 collection puts contrasting references in the same room.

Rome rarely presents only one period at a time. Alessandro Michele’s Interferenze collection for Valentino uses that layered condition as the setting for Autumn Winter 2026–27.
Presented at Palazzo Barberini, the collection places sequins, close-fitting denim and deep necklines within an architectural frame of frescoes and symmetry. Rockstud heels coexist with trainers and substantial boots, without requiring one register to cancel the other.
Longer proportions and layered surfaces carry the contrast into construction. A red evening dress provides a clear reference to Valentino’s established colour vocabulary.
The collection’s interest is not in resolving every difference into a single mood. It allows several visual histories to remain legible at once. Rome supplies an appropriate context for that decision: a city whose present is made from the continued proximity of unlike forms.
