Primitivo: eight bungalows on the Alagoas coast
At Praia dos Morros de Camaragibe, a small hotel makes its case through the spacing between its buildings and the materials close at hand.
Reportage / Dubai
An archival account followed the Italian house's interior language through the rooms and restaurants of its Burj Khalifa address.

The scale of the Burj Khalifa and the restraint of an Armani interior offer different kinds of presence. Armani Hotel Dubai places them together, using a recognisable design language inside a building whose outline already dominates its setting.
WAYFARER’s February 2025 report described soft lighting, contemporary furniture and a carefully controlled material palette. The rooms used curved windows to bring the city into the interior without requiring an equally emphatic decorative treatment.
The archive mentioned Italian cooking at Peck, Japanese dishes at Hashi and an Indian repertoire at Amal. The terrace gave the last of those another relationship with the city below.
A spa and retail spaces extended the house’s vocabulary into treatments and smaller products. These were parts of the hotel described at the time, not inclusions independently verified for a current stay.
Downtown Dubai supplied the wider context, with Dubai Mall and the tower’s observation experience nearby. The hotel’s identity therefore worked at two scales: a relatively restrained room, and an urban setting built around large gestures.
The original report’s promises of flawless service and airport transfers are not reproduced as guarantees. The design itself gives a clearer subject. A fashion house does not have to imitate the scale of its host building to remain legible inside it; a coherent interior can supply its own counterpoint.
