Privacy becomes a design question when passengers want different things from the same space. Qatar Airways’s Qsuite Next Gen presentation at Farnborough in July 2024 proposed a cabin in which boundaries could be rearranged.

WAYFARER Brazil’s account described a redesigned four-person suite and a paired arrangement at the windows. Movable Panasonic Astrova screens were central to the idea: changing their position could open a shared area rather than leave each passenger permanently separated behind a display.

The presentation connected that flexibility with meals, conversation and rest. Taller partitions and revised bed arrangements belonged to the same attempt to give the space more than one social condition. Touchscreen controls added another degree of personal adjustment within a tightly defined aircraft interior.

The original article included an anticipated aircraft introduction date. That forecast is not repeated as an accomplished delivery, and no current route or aircraft availability is claimed here. This is a reading of the concept shown in 2024, not a flight review. Its useful distinction is between a private compartment and a compartment that can choose to become social. In a cabin, the most consequential change may be the boundary that moves rather than the seat that reclines.
